After fierce but friendly competition last Saturday night at the Sugar Mill Inn at Ratho Mill, it was the unenviable job of judges Debbie Huggins, James Bentick, Kimon Baptiste and Maxin Browne, to name Melissa Solomon (below) and Perry Norris both of Image Modeling Agency as this countryâs two newest ambassadors overseas.
The two will compete against other models from Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and St. Lucia at the finals in Barbados from May 29th to June 2nd.
Solomon and Norris out-did 12 other models to take top spots at Saturdayâs event which took place at the Sugar Mill Inn at Ratho Mill.
The models competed in the swimwear category, as well as in fashion from Kimya Glasgow Designs, Amneeja Fashions and Fashion Planet.
The winner of Juneâs contest will grace the cover of Shabeau Magazine for a year, and will be laden with other prizes, including regional appearances, contracts, and exposure to international modeling agency SLAMM, which is home to international stars Tyson Beckford and Jennifer Lopez.
Solomon and Norris are expected to undergo rigorous training leading up the event.
