Nelson block holds Carnival @ Large

Come this Easter Monday, the Bishop’s College School grounds will be transformed into carnival heaven as Digicel Nelson Block would be holding their grand launch for Vincy Mass 2007.

The launch, which kicks off at 1 p.m. will showcase this year’s presentation of “Carnival @ large” which is bound to give masqueraders and interested persons a new reason to play mass.{{more}} Held under the theme, “Showcasing carnival around the world” ten sections comprising various countries’ carnival including Vincy mass, Rio (Brazil), Trinidad, Spice (Grenada), Noting Hill, Venice (Italy), New Orleans, Labour Day and Caribana would be splashed into their production.

Public Relations Officer Sean Brewster promised Vincentians that this would be the year that sees the band reign supreme again. Brewster said placing fourth last year was a definite wake up call for the band to make some adjustments. Brewster said that the band has become more creative and innovative with their designs.

He said this year focus would be placed on organisation, punctuality and security for their masqueraders. “It was a big issue in the past and we have to look out in the best interest of the persons who play with Nelson Block.”

Dynamic Guys will be providing the music.
