At a launching earlier this week, store manager Recardo Jackson unveiled the phone and highlighted the many features: namely email, messaging, organizer, web browser along with powerful multimedia features in an amazingly small, light and stylish handset.
The Blackberry Pearl is the first Blackberry handset to incorporate a digital camera, MP3 player, video player and an expandable memory slot.
As part of the introductory offer customers are being offered their Blackberry internet service rental at $89, and a prompt purchase will win the lucky customer one monthâs free rental.
Cable & Wireless customers can also now top up their prepaid mobile accounts on line using three easy steps.
âWe listened to market feedback to see what our customers needed,â said Dexter Walker, assistant manager of mobile operations as he announced the new feature.
Customers can now go online to www.candw.vc, register personal information, followed by credit card details and then top up their accounts.
Top-ups can range between $20 and $100 per transaction, up to three times a day. The service will accept VISA or Mastercards. Persons using the new service will also be given a 20 per cent bonus with each transaction that they make up to March 31st.
âWe are continually going to look for ways to advance our level of service to our customers,â said CEO Darryl Jackson at the double launch.
Rohan Tash was lucky to walk away with a Blackberry Pearl which was raffled at the launching.
