Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Erica Hadaway, 33 of Glen on Thursday February 15 at Union Island.

Reports from the police state that at about 12.05 a.m. that Thursday morning, Hadaway is said to have climbed through a window of a house belonging to Francis Thomas 33, of Ratho Mill.{{more}}

According to the police, Hadaway was at the time armed with a knife and proceeded to attack Thomas. A scuffle ensued between the two and Hadaway is said to have been strangled to death by Thomas.

Thomas was taken up by Police for questioning but has however since been discharged.

Police reports also indicate that Thomas and Hadaway were involved in a common law relationship before her demise.

Hadaway was the mother of seven children. Her mother and only sister live in the United States.
