Better internet services coming soon

St. Vincent and the Grenadines along with the rest of the Eastern Caribbean states are expected to benefit from the landing of a fibre optics cable here last week.

The operation which took place last Thursday January 11th at Greathead Bay, was a joint venture between Southern Caribbean Fiber and Kelectric, owned by Janqui and Kelly Glass.{{more}}

The landing was witnessed by Minister of Telecommunications, Science and Technology the Hon Jerrol Thompson, as well as members of the telecommunications industry.

The new cable is expected to provide faster internet access, more reliable communication among the islands, and should allow East Caribbean nationals more options for online training.
