After trying to ring his phone to determine Morgan’s whereabouts, a worker at “The Reef” restaurant and bar finally answered the phone which was discovered in a bag on the beach.
The group then reported Morgan missing to the police on the mainland and the Coast Guard and villagers on the island began a search from about 6 pm for the Campden Park resident.
After no discovery that night, the search for the missing young man re-commenced the next morning and the body of the 19-year-old was found at 8:45 am on Sunday, December 17.
Kashique Morgan’s body was taken to the mortuary around 11 pm that day. Described as quiet, meticulous and very reliable person, the teenager loved fixing gadgets and working with computers. Family members said that one of his most memorable moments in the youngster’s life came when he met three of his family members for the first time this year.
He was laid to rest at the Lowmans Leeward cemetery on Wednesday, December 20.
Khasheikh Khalique Morgan was the son of Fitz Jones and Karen Morgan.
