TCL third listing company outside Eastern Caribbean Currency Union

The Trinidad-based TCL group traded 3,049 shares on the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange last Friday December 15, 2006 during the official listing ceremony at the Sir Cecil Jacob Auditorium at the ECCB Headquarters, Bird Rock, Basseterre, St. Kitts.

The TCL Group is a manufacturing, market and service oriented organization which is essentially involved in the manufacture and sale of bulk and bagged cement, and which has vertically integrated into the manufacture and sale of packaging materials and premixed concrete.{{more}} Through a process of diversification and expansion, TCL has evolved from a single cement manufacturing operation into a full-fledged Group of Companies with operations throughout the English-speaking Caribbean.

The listing ceremony, which was addressed by the Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank and Chairman of the ECSE, Sir K. Dwight Venner and the TCL Group CEO, Dr Rollin Bertrand, was attended by a cross section of persons from St Kitts, including Government, the private sector, and directors and officials from the ECSE and affiliated institutions.

This listing takes the number of companies listed on the ECSE from outside of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union to three and the total number of companies to ten. (ECSE)
