Malaria warning for Jamaica bound travellers

The Ministry of Health is warning Vincentians traveling to Jamaica to take precautions in order not to contract malaria.

Such measures include avoiding mosquito bites by using insect repellents, minimise skin exposure and take chloroquine which is available locally.

The ministry said that surveillance is being implemented for the anopheles mosquito, which spread the disease, as well as for travelers from Jamaica.{{more}}
