“She was always quiet and smiling everytime I came into contact with her,” she said.

A tearful Kaneesha Da Silva enjoyed a special friendship with Stacey for many years. They spent much time chatting and visiting each other. A neighbourly Stacey sometimes would comb Kaneesha’s hair.

Stacey even went to Kaneesha’s Roman Catholic School graduation in 2002.

“Every time I see Stacey she is always smiling”, Kaneesha’s mother also told the SEARCHLIGHT.

Other neighbours described her as kind and never showed any disrespect to persons that are in authority.

One of the villagers even described her as “a person who cannot even kill an ant if she step on it”.

Stacey, who previously lived in Barbados, returned to St Vincent and attended Girls’ High School, and the Community College.

One of Stacey’s Girls’ High School teachers, Rolis Nanton-Davis said that she is still in a state of shock by the loss of one of her past students. “I feel devastated by it all, no one deserves to die that way,” said Davis. She recalled the lovely young lady as being a very quiet and easy going person who did extremely well academically. She said that Wilson was close to her and that she would be missed dearly. Wilson graduated from the Girls High School in 2002 then went on to further her studies at the Community College.

Police have arrested Shorn Samuel of the same address in connection with the death of the young lady.
