PM: Reward for Court staff

The staff of the Magistracy will receive a reward for faithfully working through very trying times brought on by the July 21 fire that gutted the building where the Magistrate’s Court, the Family Court and the Serious Offences Court are housed.

In the aftermath of the early morning blaze the Magistracy administrative staff had to operate under makeshift arrangements as they sorted through the confusion of records caused by the desperate attempt by fire fighters and others to save the precious documents. Within a couple of weeks court was back in session and the wheel of justice kept turning.

In a recent press conference Prime Minister Gonsalves said that he had met with the entire Magistracy staff and had personally thanked them for their yeoman service to the country and will tangibly reward them for their efforts.
