SVG invited to Film Showcase in Cuba

St Vincent and the Grenadines has been invited to participate in the Cuban-hosted Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase.

The Ministry of Culture is inviting film makers – either individuals or companies – to submit their work for inclusion in the festival. Two copies in DVD or NTSC VHS format should be submitted to the ministry no later than October 15, 2006.

The final selection will be done by a committee comprising four Caribbean filmmakers, a UNESCO representative, and the director of one of the major film distributors in the Caribbean.

Works should be submitted with subtitles in English, French, or Spanish in cases where the original language is Creole or dialect. Films must be accompanied by the list of dialogues.

The showcase will travel through the Caribbean in 2007.
