Cool Riderz distributes back to school supplies

The Cool Riderz Motor Cycle Club Back to School Charity Ride continued with their activities, on Sunday, August 27, 2006. They travelled to the Windward side of the island starting at Lowmans Hill down to Chateaubelair distributing school supplies in towns and villages.{{more}}

The club members sought the support of the media prior to their visit to alert the residents. Efforts were also made on the morning of the ride to call in to the radio stations to remind residents that the riders were on their way.

Sunday’s ride was as exciting as the previous week, once again it was evident that the news had reached the residents, for the eager faces of the children were seen as they lined the side-walk, at the gates of their homes, on the hill side and at designated stops like the playing field or the school yard.

Every effort was made to ensure as many children received a package, special attention was given to the primary school children in areas where there was a demand for more supplies. Book bags were also distributed, and posters which depicted the ROAD SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT information.

Your contribution and support to your children’s education is critical to their achievement; remember the teachers need you there for continuity and ultimately positive outcomes.
