Career specialist to visit Caribbean

Dr. Lawrence K. Jones, internationally acknowledged expert in career counselling and President of The Career Key Inc., will visit the Caribbean from September 18-22 for a five-island tour. The five islands are Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines on September 21 and St. Lucia.

The aim of this visit is to introduce and launch the Caribbean edition of The Career Key to all guidance/career counsellors, Ministry of Education personnel and other interested persons in these islands and also to answer any questions and concerns they may have regarding its use.{{more}} The Career Key is a self-assessment test which assists users in determining the best career to which interests and personality are most suited.

While in each island Dr. Jones who is also Professor Emeritus in the College of Education at North Carolina State University, will make a presentation to specially-invited groups of school guidance counsellors and ministry of education personnel on the subject “The Career Key in the Career Decision Process”.

According to Dr. Jones, “This Caribbean edition of The Career Key is specifically suited to Caribbean students. I am therefore pleased to be able to visit with the Caribbean career counsellors in order to assist them and their students in fitting together the pieces of the career puzzle and in understanding how to find the right career.”
