Melissa on the way

She is a 16-year-old who has a desire to pursue engineering or medicine and with seven 1’s and five 2’s, Melissa DeFeitas seems well on her way to achieving her goal.

DeFreitas sat 11 subjects, but gained a double award for Agricultural Science. The pianist and former Young Leader wants young people to keep focused and to set goals in life.

DeFeitas also revealed that her achievement was a way of paying tribute to the late Sister Patricia-Ann Douglas the former Principal of the St.Jospeh’s Convent Marriaqua, who died in a car accident last year.
