Nemo holds workshop for Shelter Managers
Each year, the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) tries to establish a more effective Shelter Management system in the country.
On Tuesday, August 8, 2006 there was a special workshop held for 86 Church Shelter Managers, at NEMOâs Conference Room, Old Montrose. The churches would be used as Emergency Shelters for this yearâs Hurricane season.{{more}}
Director of NEMO, Howie Prince, said, âThe main objective of the training is to provide individuals who have the responsibility for the preparing, maintaining and the opening of the private shelters with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles as shelter managersâ. Another session of training was held on Thursday, August 10.
