ICT workshop for teachers

The Ministry of Education, in association with the OAS, on July 31, 2006, launched an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Workshop for approximately 100 teachers of Mathematics and Language Arts in primary schools and the lower classes (Forms 1, 2 & 3) in secondary schools.

The workshop, which is being facilitated by Illuminat (Barbados) Ltd., was held at the Computer Laboratories of the St. Vincent Grammar School and the Dr. JP Eustace Memorial Secondary School, under the theme: Integrating ICT into the Curriculum to enrich teaching and learning.{{more}}

At the opening, which was held at the Girls’ High School, the participants heard from the Minister of Education, Girlyn Miguel, who served as the keynote speaker. Remarks were also given by representatives of Illuminat (Barbados) Ltd.

The Workshop, which ends today, was co-ordinated by the Deputy Education Planner, Chester James.
