Barrouallie Co-operative Credit Union awards annual bursaries
On Thursday, August 3, 2006, the Barrouallie Co-operative Credit Union awarded its annual bursaries to children of its members who were successful in this year’s Common Entrance Exams.
The recipients were Cavey Holder, Kemani Gould and Kevonne Richards.{{more}}
These students will be going to the Campden Park Secondary School, while Tamique Bobb will attend the St. Joseph’s Convent Kingstown.
President of the Credit Union, Maxwell Charles, reminded the audience at the presentation ceremony, that the Credit Union is always willing to be of assistance to its members.
Charles further reminded parents to work assiduously to see that their children take the opportunity afforded them more seriously. He said that secondary education is one of the greatest occasions that any student needs to pursue life’s ambition for the betterment of themselves and the society in which they live.
He urged the students to work hard to make their parents and the Credit Union proud.
