Last Monday, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Lenroy Brewster, accepted two top-of-the-line mobile handsets from Karib Cable. The handset will be attached to the Mobile Unit of the Police Force. To make things better, mobile telecommunications powerhouse Digicel will be providing the police with $100 call credit to make their jobs more efficient.

Brewster said that the Police Force is very appreciative of the donations by Digicel and Karib Cable. He added that the donations could not have come at a more opportune time, since there are many areas here that are hit by a lot of crime. Brewster said the phones would help to disseminate information more effectively. He said that their main concern in the force is people’s safety and they are doing everything in their powers to make sure this happens.
