No condoms in school
Education Minister Girlyn Miguel is not budging from her position on the distribution of condoms to schoolchildren.
She has gone on record as opposing the suggestion of offering the contraceptives to students. She used the occasion of the opening of the Annual In-Service Training Workshop for Teachers to re-state her position.{{more}}
She noted that this countryâs constitution was based on the belief of the supremacy of God. For her: âI want to chose what is right.â If she has to face the question again, Miguel is going to hold her ground. She said, âIt is time we stand up and fight for what is good.â
The Minister echoed: âNo condoms to school children.â
Miguel was appointed Education Minister following the re-election of the Unity Labour Party December 7, 2005.
