Trend Bank donates to hospital

Trend Bank Ltd., one of the largest offshore banks in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with business in Brazil, donated some 16 standing fans and a supply of paint for the male medical ward of Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. On Tuesday June 20, 2006 Ranata Malcini, Marcus Ballantyne and John Bonadie of the Bank accompanied by Louise Mitchell of the International Financial Services Authority, met with the Hospital Administrator E. Tesheira where they discussed other ways in which the Bank could assist the Hospital.{{more}} At this meeting the Bank committed to become an official member of ‘Friends of the Hospital Committee’ in order to give ongoing assistance where it is needed. Marcus Ballantyne, Resident Director of the Bank commented, “It is the Bank’s social policy to give in the areas of health and education.”

The group had a full tour of the hospital and spoke with patients. They were warmly welcomed and thanked by many members of the hospital staff.

Trend Bank has previously donated some EC $4,000 to the Bread of Life Community, among other charitable donations.
