She feels “very good” about her success, for she pointed out: “I was aiming for the top ten.”

Gineal has advised students to be “confident.” “Don’t get stressed out. Act like it’s a normal test. You’ll feel better.” She is an avid reader and also an athlete.

Eighty-two of 116 Kingstown Preparatory School students passed the test – an achievement highly regarded by the staff. They see it as an improvement over last year’s.

One teacher, Gillian Dougan attributed the improvement to measures taken at the school: “We identified weak readers and did some early intervention. Without that intervention, things might have been different,” Dougan stated. “Reading marks were outstanding,” she pointed out.

Staff members: Bernadette Latchman, Desrie Ollivierre, Chesley Ferdinand, Anthony Samuel, and Sylvia Jordan supported her.
