CPU meeting ends today

The Caribbean Postal Union (CPU) will wrap up its 10th Annual Conference here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines today, Friday June 16.

The conference, which opened on Monday, will today see regional ministers with responsibility for Postal Services deliberate on the outcome of Postmasters General/Directors of Post discussions held earlier in the week.{{more}}

Under the theme, “The new postal environment, re-assessing and managing the postal business,” the post chiefs focused on a number of technical and operational issues hampering the implementation of postal service transformation in the region.

The conference attracted a number of Postmasters General/Directors of Post and Ministers from CPU member countries of Anguilla, Antigua/Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Netherlands Antilles, St. Kitts/Nevis, St. Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and the British Virgin Islands.

Also attending the conference were representatives from the Universal Postal Union International Bureau, the Postal Administrations of France, Great Britain, Canada and the United States of America.
