To ensure that they are one of the leading brands, Harris Paint Limited continues to train and re-train the staff of their retail outlets so that they give efficient service.

This was the sentiment shared by the Caribbean Export Manager, Michael Carter as he addressed the gathering at the closing ceremony of a three-day training programme for Harris Paint retail agents in Carriacou, Grenada and St.Vincent and St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Haddon Hotel on Thursday May 18.{{more}}

Carter noted that for their agents to execute their job competently, they must be trained in various modules on colour schemes, computerized operations and customer service skills.

The export manager also announced that his company was pleased to be associated with the now re-named “Harris Paints Owen Ralph and the Professionals” mas band and presented a cheque for an undisclosed amount to the bandleader Owen Ralph.

He said that this was Harris’ Paints way of re-focusing their funds on the development of culture, particularly Vincy Mas and noted that the raffling of a prize jeep to their customers was put on hold, so that they could give total sponsorship to culture.

Elliot Sprott, manager of Sprott Brothers Ltd. who was also at the function thanked their dealers and customers for their support and promised that Harris Paint will give them quality for their hard earned money.

Sprott Brothers Ltd. is also the agent for Harris Paint SVG Ltd. and has been known to be the first company to introduce Bus benches with their logos imprinted on them in the 1980’s.

The most outstanding participant in the training programme was Jomi Thomas of Cariacoun
