Lady G hits her century

Another of this country’s elderly citizens celebrated a birthday on Monday.

Mabel Grant of Victoria Village celebrated her 102nd birthday on May 8.

To mark the occasion, Grant was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a cake by Governor-General Sir Frederick Ballantyne.

Sir Frederick expressed his happiness in seeing her live so long and wished her continued happiness and health.

The centenarian was married to the deceased David Grant and has five children.
