PMDS training workshop opens

The training workshop on the Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) concepts, process and skills for supervisors was held last Monday at the Service Commissions’ Training Room.

Selmon Walters, Minister with responsibility for the Public Service, said that service delivery continues to be a source of problems in the Public Service. He further stated that the PMDS seeks to promote productivity and efficiency.

The objectives of the sessions were to orient staff to the process and benefits of the PMDS, including the performance review process in the context of wider performance management, the major features of the PMDS and the use of the new PMDS.

Five competent Public Service Officers facilitated the three day workshop: Aileen Bute, Janice King, Gillian Griffith, Gwendolyn Burgin, and Mareeze George.
