The workshop seeks to train students to deliver accurate information to their peers on sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, STI’s and other issues facing youths. Their activities are supported by other health professionals including Nurses, Guidance Counselors and the Police. The workshop is sponsored by Canadian International Development Agency, CIDA and the Caribbean Family Planning Association CFPA. The workshop would be facilitated by Laverne Stephens, a representative of CFPA and Coordinator, Jasmine Creese.
This Easter workshop is the second of its kind hosted by the Association.
The Association is expanding its programme to involve community groups who will be trained to become advocates of HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention and behaviour change activities.
