NYC to conduct series of meets on Youth Parliament

The National Youth Council (NYC) of St Vincent and the Grenadines will be conducting a series of consultations throughout the nation geared at sensitizing the public on the establishment of the NYC Youth Parliament.

The consultations will be done throughout the country and organizations and individuals are asked to attend the consultation in their area. {{more}}The discussion will be led by representatives from the NYC, the Youth Department, National Mobilization, and Youth for Christ.

The first consultation will take place in the North Windward Constituency. Following the Constituency consultations, there will be a national consultation after which election and training would be conducted.

The NYC is expected to hold its first Youth Parliament before December this year.

Meanwhile, activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the NYC continue this month with the launching of its library project and quiz competition on radio and in the newspaper.
