First Vincentian to be Made Bishop

Reverend Canon C. Leopold Friday, Bishop-Elect, will be consecrated as the next Bishop of the Windward Islands on Saturday 25th March, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George’s Cathedral Kingstown. {{more}}

Bishop-Elect Friday will be the first Vincentian to be consecrated Bishop in the Anglican church. A service of Enthronement will take place in the Cathedral on Sunday 26th March, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.

The services will be attended by the Governors General and Prime Ministers of Grenada, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Bishop of the Province of the West Indies and other visiting Bishops, local and overseas Clergy, Diocesan officials, Lay persons from Grenada and St. Lucia and members of the local Archdeaconry congregation.
