Sir Loius: Speak English language properly
Deputy Prime Minister Sir Louis Straker has called on Vincentians to speak the English Language properly. Straker said this is crucial for others to understand clearly what is being communicated and that it is also a way of improving oneself.

Sir Louis called on parents and teachers not to tolerate dialect from children, and urged them to correct those who spoke incorrect grammar. He stressed that a good education is an antidote to crime, and called on students to be the pillars of the country.
He also expressed how appalled he was when students failed their English exams and noted that his government is ensuring that schools in the rural communities are on par with the top schools
like Girls’ High and Grammar Schools.
