NEMO, CDERA host 2-day Relief Warehouse Management seminar

Members of the National Emergency Supplies Committee honed their Disaster Relief Warehouse Management skills in a two-day workshop on Wednesday and Thursday.

This training was a collaborative initiative between the National Emergency Management Office (NEMO) and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency (CDERA), through funding from the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security under the strengthening of the Urban Search and Rescue Capability of CDERA Project.{{more}}

The main objective of the workshop was to establish a cadre of trained personnel in Warehouse Management. The Disaster Relief Warehouse Management Training Course will address the principles of warehouse management including storage procedures, stock management, preservation and packaging, material handling, equipment requirements and truck loading to be used throughout the Caribbean region.
