He emphasized that the Christmas promotion is not just about providing mobile phone bargains and giveaways but that Cable & Wireless is a full service telecommunications provider. He noted that every customer would get the opportunity to benefit from the Christmas campaign.

Vice-President of Mobile, Foster Hannaway said that customers now have a more easy and convenient way of topping up their prepaid accounts called ‘etopUp.’ This is a system where customers can choose any amount to add to their phone from as little as five dollars.

Each week in December will be introduced as free Sundays where customers can add $25 credit or more to their mobile phones from Monday and Saturday and call fixed and mobile lines.

Mp3 players, bags, caps and t-shirts are some of the trendy prizes up for grabs with select purchases of handsets.

Meanwhile a new system called Netscape was also introduced. This is a new international calling package, featuring six different calling plans, that allows Cable & Wireless high speed internet customers to make unlimited calls to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom and the Caribbean for one low monthly rate of $79.
