Cable & Wireless, provider of the broadest range of communications in the Caribbean region, on Wednesday launched low-cost international calling to customers in the Eastern Caribbean with the rollout of NetSpeak, a high-speed Internet telephony service using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. “We are enthusiastic and pleased to be able to offer this service to our customers in the East,” explained Daryl Jackson, Chief Executive. “We know that many of our customers have family and friends abroad, with whom they want to keep in touch – but that the cost of calling can be a barrier to communication. NetSpeak uses emerging technology to help people keep in touch, for less money.”

With Wednesday’s launch, any customer of Cable & Wireless Xnet high-speed Internet service can subscribe to calling plans which include unlimited calls to the US, Canada and the UK for as little as EC$79 per month.
