Teachers mark Solidarity Week

The curtains will come down on the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers’ Union Teachers’ Solidarity Week tomorrow.

The celebration, which began on Sunday, November 13, was held under the theme “Qualified and Motivated Teachers a necessary prerequisite for Quality Education”.

Several activities were scheduled during the week to commemorate the event.{{more}}

Among them are a march and rally in Kingstown yesterday, a Day of Reflection today, Executive Involvement in Community Project, a church service at the Mt.Coke Methodist Church on Sunday, a Candle Light Vigil, Teachers’ Appreciation Day, and the C.W Prescod Memorial Lecture by Dr.John Campbell, Lecturer at the UWI St. Augustine, at the Methodist Church Hall on Wednesday.
