Durrant lodging with friend

Simon Durrant has received what might be termed a delayed echo from landslides at Dark View. His house was destroyed in a collapse in August 2005.

“Me build the house, then thing come and mash the house flat,” Durrant said.

Since then it has been something of a struggle. He admitted that he gets lodging from a friend, but added that he has become an unwelcome guest in recent times.

“Right now, me nah hah no way fuh live,” he pointed out.

Durrant, a farmer and fisherman, is hoping that someone in authority responds to his dilemma.
