Man drinks deadly substance

An 18-year-old seaman of Bequia has died after allegedly consuming a deadly substance.

It is claimed that Dorian Phillip De Couteau, of Friendship drank the substance at about 9.30p.m. on October 16, 2005 at Port Elizabeth.

He was taken to the Bequia Hospital where he subsequently died.

The Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death.

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on the body to ascertain the cause of death.
