SVG Police officers step up the ladder

A number of Police Officers have been promoted. Among them are Keith Miller and Ekron Lockhart. They have been elevated to the ranks of Assistant Superintendent of Police, from their former positions of Inspector.{{more}}

Grenville Dick and David Hazelwood, former Station Sergeants have been upgraded to the rank of Inspector.

Two new Station Sergeants have been announced. They are Earl James and Edmund Bramble, former Sergeants.

Those positions, endorsed by the Police Service Commission, take effect from May 5, 2005.

They were not the only security officers to be elevated. But the others will be in acting capacities. They include Bertram Cumberbatch, who has been appointed to act as Superintendent of Police. He is currently Assistant Superintendent of Police. Cuthbert Horne is serving as an Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police, up from his substantive rank of Inspector, and David McDowall acts as Inspector from Station Sergeant.

Ruth Jacobs, a former Sergeant has been upgraded to the acting post of Station Sergeant.

The announcements came in a release from the Public Relations and Complaints Department dated July 29, 2005.
