The non partisan Conference will coincide with and complement this fall’s Millennium Summit of the UN General Assembly and is expected to bring together a diverse and select group of current and former heads of state, business leaders, noteworthy academicians and key NGO representatives.

Some of the leaders include Prime Minister Tony Blair, King Abdullah II, President Leonel Fernandez Reyna, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The workshop will focus on how to reduce poverty; use religion for reconciliation and conflict resolution; implement new business strategies and technologies to combat climate change and strengthen governance.

President Clinton in his letter of invitation said, based on the Prime Minister’s “impressive record of accomplishment,” he was considered to be essential to the success of the meeting.
