Rodney earns bronze award

Nigel Rodney, a local Sales Agent of Demerara Mutual Life, was the 2004 recipient of the Chairman’s Bronze Award.

Rodney, an agent for the past 20 years was among thirty eight awardees from the region who competed for the categories of recognition: diamond, gold, silver and bronze.{{more}}

In accepting his trophy and cash prize, Rodney, the lone agent with the company, vowed to exert extra effort, and to “re fire” his commitment with the job.

He urged those persons reluctant to purchase an insurance policy to see it as an “investment rather than an expense”.

Presenting the award to Rodney was Demerara’s Manager of Marketing Prudence Lewis-Bhola.

She applauded her sales representatives for withstanding the challenges posed to them last year.

Among them, she cited “demographic changes and the tough economic times” which were successfully negotiated.

Like Bhola, one of Rodney’s co-workers, Paul Garraway, commended him on his achievement and foresees him reclaiming the highest accolade in the near future.
