Edwards was remanded after being taken before Senior Magistrate Simone Churaman at the Serious Offences Court last week Wednesday. Information from the Police is that Lynch suffered wounds to his head and died at the Intensive Care Unit of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital March 21.

Merlene Lynch, Darius’ mother reflected on her son’s death. Darius was the last of her five children.

A fair crowd of Ottley Hall residents turned out and sang lustily in Darius’ respect. The service was held at Faith Temple, conducted by Pastor Melch Pope.

Edwards appeared in court unkempt, his face bearing a weary countenance. Lawyer Stephen Williams represented Edwards in court.

This killing has been recorded as the fifth homicide for 2005. This year has seen a trend that differs from 2004. Up to March 14, 2004, the nation enjoyed the luxury of being a murder free zone. However, the situation spiraled out of control, and the nation saw a record 28 murders for the entire year.
