Cingular says its EZEE! Prepaid customers in St. Vincent will be able to use their phones to make and receive calls and send text messages while roaming on Cingular Wireless’ network in the U.S. as well as in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, St. Lucia, Grenada and St. Vincent. The service will soon be offered to St. Kitts and Nevis and Anguilla

“In the future, we expect to expand the list of roaming destinations to include additional countries that are popular with our Caribbean customers,” noted Stephanie Bariault, Vice-President for Cingular Wireless Caribbean Services.

Interim Market Manager Magnus Whitehead, added, “We also expect to extend roaming capabilities to EZEE! prepaid customers located in other parts of the Caribbean, bringing them the benefit of our world-class technical expertise.

Whitehead said that this is all a part of the Cingular Wireless’ commitment to developing its business in the Caribbean where the company is building a loyal Cingular Wireless customer base by providing customers with wireless solutions to suit their lifestyle.”

Currently our postpaid customers in the Caribbean have the ability to roam in more than 130 countries with 235 carriers worldwide.

EZEE prepaid customers will also benefit from a new method for recharging prepaid accounts. New recharge cards, will contain simple 3-step instructions for customers. The new cards are smaller — the size of a credit card – and environmentally safe.

Old unused recharge cards, which will no longer be valid for use, will be exchanged for new ones at our Cingular Wireless retail store in Kingstown.
