ROC brings colourful Orchid exhibition

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is taking yet another amazing and brilliant new initiative with an Orchid Project.

Ambassador Elizabeth Chu said in a release: “Though you might have seen orchids of import, we hope this new initiative will be someday to replace the import and may actually be exported to neighboring countries as the case of banana seedlings, pineapple seedlings and other produce.”{{more}}

The embassy is hoping to encourage entreprenuership among Vincentians who will go into orchid cultivation. This has been done through “quietly conducted experimentation on orchids at its tissue culture laboratory at Orange Hill.

The Taiwanese Embassy plans to hold an exhibition of orchids for the general public on March 10th and 11th until 5.00 p.m.
