Police seize loot

Investigators apprehended a man earlier this week following a raid, which netted a number of items believed stolen.

Detective Corporal Aileen Maloney of the Major Crime Unit told the media Monday afternoon that police executed a search warrant at a “particular home” and found items, which were displayed at the Criminal Investigations Department office. {{more}}

Corporal Maloney did not disclose the location of the residence from where the items were seized or on what day the search warrant was executed

She said the items were believed stolen and the public’s assistance was being sought to have the items identified.

The detective said persons who may have had items stolen from them can visit the CID’s office to view the items.

The items seized include, a camera, a cell phone, bottles of cologne, two binoculars, speakers, bottles of liqueurs, dozens of compact discs and jewelry, including gold chains, bangles, rings and watches.

Up to press time, there was no report of anyone having been charged in connection with the police raid.
