YWCA getting new home

The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) will soon have a new home at McKies Hill behind the St. Vincent Grammar School.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves made reference to the building last week Thursday at Cabinet room during the handing over of US$1,264,786.84 to the Government by the Republic of China on Taiwan’s (ROC) Ambassador Elizabeth Chu.{{more}}
PM Gonsalves described the almost completed YWCA structure as a fantastic two-storey building: “A magnificent facility that is better than the current one.”
Dr. Gonsalves also spoke about the new Technical Complex that will be built on the Bishops College’s compound in Paul’s Avenue. This technical facility will replace the old one located at Richmond Hill in Kingstown, which will be dismantled.
The relocation of the YWCA building and the Technical Centre is to make way for the modern library and a lecture theatre which will be built at Richmond Hill.
The Calliaqua Town Hall will also receive some attention.
