Pro Auto Rental: Here to get you there

They’re here to get you there. That’s the commitment of Pro Auto Rental Inc, the company most highly recommended for vehicle rental services in St Vincent and the Grenadines, according to Best of SVG voters.

Formerly Ricky’s Rentals, the business, which Ricky Brackin started in 2000 with a single car, now boasts a fleet of 10 minivans and sport utility vehicles, available at a daily rate of between $150 and $200 dollars.

The name change took effect in September 2016, when Brackin transferred management of the company to his daughter, Janique Cyrus.

“We exist so that we can meet all your transportation needs,” Cyrus said. “We offer reliable service at an efficient cost. We try to gain the trust of our customers. We want them to be comfortable with the services that we offer and to be able to trust us with their safety. I think that’s what sets us apart from everybody else.”

Persons who want to rent a vehicle must be a valid driver’s licence holder, age 25 and above. They are required to sign a contract and pay a security deposit; however, the deposit is sometimes waived for repeat customers. The company also offers a free vehicle drop-off and pick-up service to accommodate customers who may have difficulty getting to their Redemption Sharpes location, and is available 24/7 in case of emergency.

Pro Auto Rental does more than just vehicle rentals. They also service vehicles, order parts and import vehicles from Japan and England.

“If you think you’re interested in getting a vehicle, you can come up and see what we have. If you don’t like what we have, we give you the links that we usually order from and you have the option of looking and seeing what you like, or you can come to the office and we look together,” Cyrus explained.

There are plans to expand the parts ordering section of the business, and also to open a second, more convenient location to be more accessible to customers.

As a young entrepreneur, Cyrus is passionate about her work and undeterred by detractors.

“I love this field. There are a lot of people now getting into the car dealership business and it motivates me to be creative about how we can be different. I haven’t really encountered any challenges being a woman running a business, but with my age, a lot of times people tend to question whether I can make it happen. I like the challenge and I end up proving them wrong.”

Cyrus expressed gratitude to the public for choosing Pro Auto Rental as Best of SVG.

“We’re very honoured to have won this significant award. It goes to show that our work is not in vain and to hear customers say to us that they’re not going anywhere… we’re very humbled by that and we want our customers to know that we will continue to meet and even exceed their expectations when it comes to customer service,” she pledged. “We want to be able to offer the best service to them and this comes with razor focus and persistence.”

Pro Auto Rental is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays until 2 p.m. They can be contacted at 534-8520 or 432-8591.
