Tribes band gets Coreas boost

Tribes Mas band has received assistance for their 2014 productions from Coreas Hazells Inc.

The general sponsorship of $1,000 includes cash and products. The St Lucia Distillers Limited range of products, particularly Sting Power,{{more}} has been associated with this band over the past five years.

The band’s presentation of “Oceanic Journey” will see seven sections crossing the stage on Tuesday, July 8 at Mardi Gras. These include Ocean Marbles, Mermaid Princess, Ocean Glaze, Creatures of the Sea, Keepers of the Abbis, Dragon Fish and Jems of the Atlantis. They are hoping to attract their usual following of three hundred masqueraders.

Band leader Fernando Serieux expressed thanks to Coreas Hazells Inc and St Lucia Distillers Ltd for their continued support over the years.

Tribes Mas Band has been participating in Vincy Mas over the past eight years. This year, music will be provided Nu Flava Sounds and DJ Madd Skull. The mas tent is located on Murrays Road, opposite the Ministry of Agriculture.

Coreas Hazells Inc has also sponsored an all-inclusive section by Global Revellers in the Blondie Bird & Friends Mas Band. Revellers in this section will assembly for breakfast at the Mahogany Square at Beachmont from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8. They will then join the other sections of the band at their assembly point outside the Singer building in Kingstown. Lunch will also be provided, along

with premium drinks for revellers in this section called “The Heat of the Night”.

The sponsorship of $800 in drinks products was received by Peter Joseph of Global Revellers.

This is the second year that Global Revellers has an all-inclusive section with Blondie Bird & Friends.
