Earlier this month, marketing coordinator for the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) Anthony Dennie revealed that persons who plan to view Vincy Mas 2014 via the pay-per-view service will be charged the price of the most expensive ticket to enter Victoria Park, for the particular show.

During a CDC press conference on Tuesday, Dennie released a list of prices for the various shows on pay-per-view.

“There are persons quite naturally, for some reason or the other, can’t make it into Carnival City to take in the shows. The shows are being made available on channel 204,” he said.

For the Miss SVG and Miss Carival pageants, persons will be required to pay $45, while persons who wish to view the Calypso Semi-finals will pay $30.

The Junior Calypso show can be viewed on pay-per-view at a cost of $10; Steel and Glitter is priced at $15 and Soca Monarch will be $55. Dimanche Gras is priced at $35, while Mardi Gras can be viewed live on VC3, channel 203 on Carnival Tuesday, free of cost.

Persons wishing to subscribe, can contact Karib Cable, powered by Columbus at 570-1600, or go into the floor office which is now located on Lower Bay Street, close to Randy’s supermarket.

According to reports, in 2013, about 1,800 persons subscribed to the pay-per-view service for the Miss SVG show, 1,300 for Miss Carival and for the Soca Monarch show, approximately 1,600.

The pay-per-view service was introduced in 2012. (BK)
