Gospel concert aims to stir hearts and minds of Vincentians

Blucher is expected to launch her new album “You Alone”, on Saturday, February 1, at the Diamond Deliverance Assembly site.

Costian Cupid, a member of Awesome Praise Promotions, said that the concert will have a two-fold objective: to uplift the standard and talent of local entertainers, while securing donations for persons and families affected by the December Christmas floods.

“We are going to give back some of the proceeds to the flood victims, and we will be having a tent at the gate, so that persons willing to donate food items, clothing and cash can do so,” he explained.

Cupid pointed out that other performers at the show include Fenton Harry and the Jesus Muzik Band, Curtis Waw, Ammishaddai, Stacy Little, former calypsonian Lenny Francois, and “Brother Mckie.”

Kim Cupid, also a member of the Awesome Praise promotional team, said that apart from lifting talent and standards, the concert aims to stir the hearts and minds of Vincentians, especially the nation’s young people.

“The concert is also about building faith and changing lives and turning their direction to the positive from the negative.”

The promoters said the event is sponsored by Vitamalt, Courts, NICE Radio, IK TV and Ben’s Auto, and tickets are available at Singer, Music Centre, Ferdie’s Footsteps, Aycess, and Valudrug.

“We want to invite everyone to come and support this event as we serve God with music and fellowship, and give back to the ones who are suffering in this time of need,” Cupid said.

He also indicated that groups of 10 or more will receive discounts on their tickets.
