Hitz 103.7 lends support to North Windward Carnival

Hitz 103.7 is once again contributing to this country’s premier festival by partnering with the Owia Sports and Cultural Organization (OSCO), who are presenting the first ever Carnival in Owia.{{more}} The events are to be held under the theme ‘OUR CULTURE, OUR HERITAGE’ and are scheduled to take place this weekend, May 25 to 27.

Candice Sealey, Head of Sales Marketing of SVGBC, stated that “as one of the primary sponsors of Vincy Mas, the radio station saw it fit to be associated with a new rural carnival”. She further stated that “Owia and surrounding areas are strong listeners of Hitz 103.7 and being a station with a responsibility to its community, we are very proud to be associated with this carnival and to be involved deeply in every aspect of it.”

Hitz 103.7 is also involved in the pageantry element of the show, by way of sponsoring a contestant in the Princess pageant, Kiera Lavia, Miss Salt Pond. The station’s radio personalities/DJS will also be instrumental in providing entertainment for patrons during the weekend, including the J’ouvert activities tomorrow morning, T-shirt street party tomorrow afternoon and the River Lime at Owia big river on Sunday.

The Owia Sports and Cultural Organization was developed to promote sporting and cultural activities in Owia and surrounding villages in the North Windward communities.
