Multivator, Badwayz progress to Heineken Green Synergy Finals

DJ Multivator and DJ Badwayz won the sixth and seventh legs of the 2010 Heineken Green Synergy DJ Clash, held on September 4 and 5, respectively.{{more}}

The sixth preliminary round of the Heineken Green Synergy DJ competition took place at the Drop Off Night Club at San Souci on Saturday, September 4, 2010. Witnessed by an energetic crowd, the night’s event featured three participants: DJ General, DJ Joe Grine and DJ Multivator.

DJ Joe Grine and DJ Multivator performed well in the skills round of the competition, eliminating DJ General, and moved on to the head to head clash round of the night’s event. DJ Multivator defeated DJ Joe Grine in an overwhelming manner to win the clash and earn himself qualification for the Heineken Green Synergy DJ Finals. “I’m from Sandy Bay, but based in Canouan. I would like to big up all my friends and fans who supported me; large up the Sandy Bay and Canouan massive” said Joel Hoyte a.k.a DJ Multivator. “Come out to the Finals and support me as I continue to represent.”

The Heineken Green Synergy then headed to the Pirate Cove in Lowmans Bay on Sunday, September 5, for the last preliminary round of the competition. Two DJ’s; DJ Kash and DJ Badwayz contested the last remaining position in the Heineken Green Synergy Finals. With a very responsive crowd attending the event, DJ Badwayz defeated DJ Kash by a narrow margin to win the clash and earn himself qualification for the finals.

“I feel very proud for winning and reaching the finals of the competition,” said Elkin Dickson, alias DJ Badwayz, of Chauncey. “Thanks to all my fans for coming out to support me.”

Seven DJs will now compete for the right to be known as the Heineken Green Synergy DJ Champion. Who will it be? D Original Pitbull, DJ Madants, DJ Biber, DJ Flip, DJ Not Nice, DJ Multivator and DJ Badwayz will battle it out at the Heineken Green Synergy DJ Finals on September 18. The winner of the competition will receive a Grand Prize of XCD $5000, as well as the opportunity to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Regional Green Synergy DJ Finals.
