de Shongs get Digicel anniversary treat to remember

Last Saturday, August 7, Jerome and Susan de Shong were treated to a wedding anniversary party at the Beachcombers Hotel Restaurant and Bar compliments Digicel. The de Shongs, who celebrated 12 years of wedding bliss on July 18, had chosen to wait and have their celebrations last Saturday.

They party was given to the couple as the wife Susan was the winner of the Digicel June FIFA World Cup promotion dubbed ‘Rock your Block’, where persons were entered in a draw for a fully catered party when they either texted FIFA to 7171 or paid their post paid bill on time. Susan won the competition, which allowed her to choose a venue where she was allowed to take 40 of her friends for a grand party.

Marketing Executive at Digicel Justin John said that the promotion offered one person the opportunity to treat 40 of their friends to a fully catered party. The total value of the promotion is EC$7,000. Susan was also given a Blackberry Gemini cellular handset and all the guests at her party received FIFA packs.

Commenting on Saturday, de Shong said: “This is a joyous day for me. I can’t believe this is really happening.” She added: “I’m really happy, so I would like to thank Digicel again and to me Digicel is really the best, really the bigger better network, and I can’t complain about their service. It’s really good”.

Susan’s husband Jerome, who is the Manager of the National Fisheries Marketing Limited, said: “This is fantastic as it coincides with our anniversary and to me it’s really, really special”. He urged Digicel: “Keep doing what you are doin. You are doing a good job building the community so continue doing the good work.” The happy couple was accompanied by, among other persons, their sons Javier and Kadeem.
